Qayitz: The Summer Harvest

At harvest, YHWH is not impressed by appearance; He looks for truthful fruit, justice, and life produced by His Spirit.

Qayitz: The Summer Harvest
Song

Message

Qayitz centers on Amos 8 and the image of summer fruit as a sign that the end has ripened. The song connects dishonest scales, economic exploitation, trampling the needy, and empty feast-day religion into one moral harvest. It is beautiful on the surface, but severe underneath. The fruit basket becomes an inspection basket. The famine in the song is not only material but spiritual: a famine of hearing the word of YHWH. By bringing in the fig tree, abiding imagery, and the fruit of the Spirit, the song turns Amos’s judgment into a searching question for the present: when YHWH comes looking, what fruit will He actually find?

Lyrics

Chorus The reaping of Summer, Qayitz! I will spare them no longer, Qayitz! Is your fruit now in season, Qayitz! But will it be pleasing? Ref: Amos 8:1-2 Verse 1 Dance upon the broken, bleed the ones in need The humble sold for a pair of shoes Swallowed in your greed You weigh the measure to the shekel by the balance of deceit Consuming for yourself what you call good Then sell the refuse of the wheat Ref: Amos 8:4-6 Adonai when he hungered came to the full fig tree He searched the branch for it’s fruit and found nothing but the leaf For it was not in season when Mashiach came to reap The swiftness of the wither, left his Talmudim in disbelief Ref: Mathew 21:18-20,Mark 11:12-14 Verse 2 By the majesty of Jacob, I will not forget these works My Feast days are your sorrow, your songs are all a dirge Behold the days, a famine comes, it is not of bread You spirit starves in the midst of summer for the words that I have said Ref: Amos 8:7,10,11-12 Mashiach told his Talmudim he’s the vine, they’re the branch Abide in him for useful fruit, apart there is no chance So Abide in him you will be clean through the word he feeds your soul OR you will be a withered branch, cast forth and burned in whole Ref: John 15:3-6 Bridge Love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faith, meekness, temperance, There is no law against the Ruach’s fruits of worth Try your Spirit to see if it’s from Yah. If these are not your fruits, move to different dirt The Harvest is here…. Ref: Gal 5:22-26,1 John 4:1, Deu 13:1-5
